Stephen Doherty Wins Club Championship

On Monday 20th April Stephen Doherty won his game in hand against Alex Fisher to take clear first place in the Club Championship. Doherty, who had the white pieces, won a pawn early, and was able to build upon his advantage to win in the middlegame.

Doherty finished on 4.5/5, winning every game apart from a draw against Andy Smith who finished third. David Logue finished second on 4/5, having lost to Doherty in the decisve game. The players finished in order of grading. The final standing are below:
